Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (bdht) was formed on the 30th March 2004. We transferred 3,116 homes and 130 leasehold flats from the local council.
These homes are split roughly into thirds. One third are houses and bungalows. One third are flats and maisonettes. The rest are sheltered accommodation in 21 schemes. In 2009 we opened the first Extra Care housing development in Bromsgrove. This includes 92 one and two bedroom homes. It is designed for those requiring extra support.
We are actively building new homes and have so far added another 124. We are currently building 73, and have plans for 410 more.
bdht also manages the homelessness service for the district.
