bdht - building excellent communities with passion and pride

what is a hate crime?

Hate Crime is any problem that you think is an act or something someone else said or did that is against you because of who you are.  This can mean you are a victim because of your colour, race, nationality or ethnic or national origins, your sex, sexual orientation or religion or disability.

We will not tolerate acts which you class as a hate crime and will work with our partners to tackle these issues quickly.
