Grassed Areas
OakLeaf Ground Services are responsible for cutting all of bdht grassed areas.
We aim to cut grass every 3 weeks between March and October, dependent on weather.The grassed areas and the nearby hard surfaces will be left neat and tidy with all cuttings removed from site for recycling.
Hedges
Hedges which are the responsibility of bdht will be cut twice a year. They will be cut after the 1st July, following guidelines from the RSPCB due to birds nesting. The second will follow the final grass cut in October.
Unless there are any unusual conditions agreed by bdht, all hedges will be maintained at a height of around 1.85metres (6 ft).
Trees
bdht own around 2,300 trees throughout the district which we will manage on a 5 year basis. Customers are responsible for trees in their own garden. If you have any concerns about trees owned by bdht, please contact us free on 0800 0850 160.
Shrubs
Shrub beds to general purpose areas on bdht land will be pruned once a year between October & March.
Planting
Flower beds will be planted twice a year with summer and winter bedding plants.
Weed Control
Weeds will be sprayed throughout the district three times a year dependent on dry weather conditions, this will be done in February, July/August and October.
