equipment and adaptations
bdht has expanded its range of services to tenants by funding an occupational therapist (OT), in partnership with Worcestershire Primary Care Trust. The appointment of an OT will help tenants with physical difficulties. They will assess their current living situation and offer practical solutions to help them.
As part of the role, the OT will offer advice in the planning of new properties and help to support the needs of disabled customers. The OT will also train bdht staff to carry out minor assessments to enable small adaptations to customer’s homes.
We are now able to offer our customers an invaluable service. It will help to improve many lives and improve the health and wellbeing of people across the District.
