Now that the school summer holidays are in full swing, you may be starting to run out of ideas for things to see and do.

To help you out, we’ve researched some free/budget-friendly activities that are taking place in and around Bromsgrove, including our two Community Fun Days this month (August)!

Check out these activities and help beat summer boredom at bay:

1. Yoga at Catshill Meadow – relax and unwind at free yoga sessions, taking place from 9.30am until 10.30am every Saturday.

2. Summer Fun at Sanders Park get involved in all sorts of free weekday fun throughout August, including Glamba Drumming and Punch & Judy shows.

3. Community Fun Day at King George Close, Sidemoor – come along and enjoy our second summer fun day of the year, which is taking place from 12pm to 3pm on August 14 and will feature games, crafts, entertainment and more.

4. Capybara Disco Dreams at Bromsgrove Library – four to 11-year-olds can get into the groove by listening to the Capybara story at 2.30pm on August 18 and borrow the book to enjoy at home. £1 per child.

5. Free outdoor cinema screenings at Abbey Park, Pershore – enjoy a full day of film-watching, starting at 11am with The Wild Robot and finishing at 5.30pm with The Dark Knight on August 23.

6. Challenges and board games at Bromsgrove Baptist Church try new games and enjoy a bit of friendly competition from 2pm to 4pm on August 24.

7. Steve Kaos Circus Workshop at Arrow Valley Country Park – learn all sorts of fun skills, ranging from juggling and hula hooping to plate spinning from 12pm to 4pm on August 25.

8. Little Scientists’ Workshop at Morton Stanley Park – prepare to make fizzy potions and more from 1pm to 4pm on August 25.

9. Harlequins Orienteering String Maze at Morton Stanley Park – grab a map, follow the clues and enjoy a mini adventure from 10am to 4pm on August 27.

10. Community Fun Day at Charford Recreation Ground, Lyttleton Avenue – have fun, and connect with the local community at our third and final fun day of the year, taking place from 12pm to 3pm on August 28.
