bdht family fun days encourage community spirit post-lockdown
Bromsgrove’s largest social housing provider, Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (bdht), has announced it will be hosting four Family Fun Days across August, encouraging community spirit post lockdown.
The annual events, which were postponed last year as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, provide an opportunity for people to safely come together in their local community. Locals will be able to enjoy an afternoon with a mix of entertainment at each event, including bouncy castles, a children’s entertainer, hair chalking, tombola and hook-a-duck, as well as information stands and demonstrations from local service providers.
This year’s family fun days will be held at the following locations between 12pm – 2:30pm on the dates below:
Ashlea Green, driving futures manager at bdht, said: “The Covid-19 pandemic has been incredibly difficult for many across Bromsgrove and we were keen to safely bring the local community back together to enjoy some fun and connect with others this summer.
“Following the success of previous years, we’re putting on four separate fun days across the district so everyone can get involved and enjoy the incredible atmosphere. All stalls run by bdht this year will be free of charge and we’d like to ask residents for feedback via a survey on their community, in exchange for tokens to use at the events.
“We really value the support from local businesses and individuals who have played a part in our previous events. After a challenging period for all, we’re expecting our 2021 family fun days to have a fantastic turn out so it’s a great opportunity for businesses to reach out to the local community and share the services that they offer.”
