Four Family Fun Days held throughout August by Bromsgrove’s largest social housing provider, Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (bdht), saw a record 1,000 safely attend the outdoor events.
The annual gatherings, which were postponed last year as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, saw local families and children enjoying a wide range of entertainment including bouncy castles, a children’s entertainer, hair chalking, tombola and hook-a-duck. Information stands and demonstrations from local service providers were also on-hand.
Ashlea Green, driving futures manager at bdht, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the positive reception to this year’s events and it was incredible to see the local community safely come back together and reconnect following the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“As well as providing free entertainment for customers and the wider community, the Family Fun Days enabled us to engage with local people and obtain valuable feedback which we will use to enhance and improve our services. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in making this year’s events such a huge success.”
