bdht is providing support for families with autistic children by hosting a free Autism Awareness Course at Starlight Café in Charford on Friday 19th October.
During the one-day workshop, parents and carers can discover the process and benefits of diagnosis, get a better insight into relevant legislation and codes of practice then find out all about external support sources that are available.
Graeme Anderson, Director of Homes and Communities at bdht, said: “Overcoming stigma and challenges whilst raising awareness of autism is something we are very keen to support and so we are pleased to be involved in putting on this course. It really is an excellent opportunity for parents, carers and anyone who would like information or advice to get together in a supportive and relaxed environment.”
The course, which is being provided by Worcestershire County Council, will run from 09.30 until 14.30 at Starlight Café, Humphrey Avenue, Charford, on Friday 19th October. To find out more about the course and to book a place, head to the Worcestershire County Council website.
