Local housing provider, Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (bdht), has recently appointed a new key member of staff, reinforcing its commitment to looking after its customers and maintaining compliance.
Steve Phillips, who has been working in social housing since 2001, has joined bdht as Head of Asset Management and Development.
He is committed to making sure customers feel safe and secure in their homes and proactively identifying and dealing with any potential risks in line with the latest industry regulations.
“I instantly liked the feel of bdht; they’ve got a really good ethos and community-based values. Working somewhere that has such strong links with customers, and where there’s a genuine focus on customers really appealed to me. It’s also great to see that so many members of staff are from in and around Bromsgrove,” he explains.
Steve’s top priority is making sure customers are comfortable and safe in their homes, which includes making sure everything is in good working order.
“Regular investment is crucial. It not only keeps homes in good shape, but also helps customers save money on energy and improves their overall wellbeing.” he explains.
“We’re committed to keeping our buildings safe and up-to-date, and that means staying on top of changes to health, safety, and building regulations. What matters most to us is doing right by our customers—making sure their homes are comfortable, and well-maintained.”
