bdht has been awarded the Disability Confident Employer accreditation, recognising the organisation’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity in the workplace.
Having previously held the Disability Confident Committed (Level 1) accreditation, this achievement marks a significant step forward as bdht progresses to Level 2 of the Disability Confident scheme.
The Disability Confident Employer status highlights the organisation’s dedication to attracting, retaining, and developing staff with disabilities, creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all employees. By meeting the core requirements of the Disability Confident self-assessment, bdht is actively demonstrating its commitment to equal opportunities and fostering a diverse workforce.
bdht has undertaken several key actions to achieve its status as a Disability Confident Employer. These include completing the Disability Confident self-assessment and implementing all required core actions necessary for the accreditation. Additionally, bdht is committed to attracting the right people to join the organisation and has pledged to take action to retain and develop its existing staff.
Hannah Cerrone, HR Manager at bdht said: “I am really proud of the achievement of becoming a Disability Confident Employer, which is a testament to our commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace.
“At bdht, we strive to ensure that everyone feels valued and has equal opportunities to thrive. This accreditation reflects our team’s hard work and dedication in promoting dive diversity and breaking barriers down to employment.”
The Disability Confident initiative, led by the UK government, supports employers to make the most of the talents disabled people can bring to the workplace.
