With a series of sessions led by Stuart Hawksworth, one of five mobile training engineers at Worcester Bosch, staff were able to get hands-on and learn crucial skills that can now be passed on to thousands of bdht’s tenants and homeowners. Stuart said: “bdht is leading the way when it comes to managing residents’ heating and boiler issues. By having customer service staff that are knowledgeable and ready to quickly deal with common problems, it frees up their gas engineers to get out and fix more complex issues when they occur.”
bdht has an excellent on-going relationship with the Worcestershire-based boiler firm, with the housing provider’s six gas engineers receiving training twice a year. Jeanette Matthews, head of customer delivery at bdht, said: “Providing warm homes across Bromsgrove is something that we are extremely proud of and this training, in collaboration with Worcester Bosch, is a great chance for us to improve the support we can offer each and every one of our tenants.
“Solving heating issues when they arise in a quick and efficient way is vitally important, particularly in the case of elderly or vulnerable residents, so we are always looking for ways to enhance the services we provide.”
