Bdht are delighted to be a key partner in an innovative Worcestershire consortium, Fusion, who have been successful in securing £3,205.300 million of Big Lottery and European Social Investment Funding – Building Better Opportunities.
Worcestershire Building Better Opportunities has been shaped by the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, and the Big Lottery Fund is matching funds from the European Social Fund (ESF) 2014-2020 to invest in local projects tackling the root causes of poverty, promoting social inclusion and driving local jobs and growth.
The Department for Work and Pensions is the managing authority for the England European Social Fund programme. Established by the European Union, the European Social Fund helps local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support skills development, employment and job creation, social inclusion and local community regenerations. This success has come from the work carried out, where the Worcestershire principal Housing Associations, Redditch Borough Housing and a range of specialist Voluntary Sector Organisations, have worked together to establish the Fusion consortium. Fusion offers managing agents such as the European and UK Government a local solution for national programmes.
